Shows Receiving Added Performances
FringeNYC keeps an eye out for shows that become highly popular and sell out performances, and provides a select few with additional performances.
On August 9th—three days before the festival even began—the entire run of Yeast Nation: sold out. Yeast Nation also broke a record by selling out its August 13th opening night on August 3rd, a full nine days before the start of the festival...making it the fastest sell-out of any performance in FringeNYC's 15-year history. (For my review of the show, please click here). To try to accommodate demand, a performance was added for Tuesday August 23rd at 8:00 pm. It quickly sold out too.
Please note that around 20 of this year's FringeNYC shows are likely to be selected for extended runs post-festival in September via the FringeNYC Encore Series. More about this will appear here towards the end of August.
